WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will take a cue from daughter Sasha on where to live after his second term ends in 2017, and that means that they might end up staying in Washington, ABC News reported on Friday.

The president's older daughter, Malia, will likely be in college but Sasha will be only a high school sophomore when Obama leaves office.

'So we've got to - you know we got to make sure that she's doing well ... until she goes off to college,' Michelle Obama said according to ABC News excerpts of an interview with the first family set to air on '20/20' at 10 p.m. on Friday (0300 GMT on Saturday) 'Sasha will have a big say in where we are.'

The president indicated that moving his youngest child to another city when she was in high school might be difficult.

''Cause she's, you know, obviously they - and Michelle -have made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things,' Obama joked.
