Amber Alert issued for Sunnyvale baby boy taken by father

SUNNYVALE -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a two-week old baby boy who was taken by his father, according to police.

The suspect is Mesut Guler, 22, a Turkish man who is 6-feet tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The baby, Henry Guler-Romero, was last seen with his father at 4 p.m. in a tan 2004 GMC Envoy, with a California licence plate No. 6HIL892.

The vehicle was reportedly seen twice this morning in San Diego, according to multiple media reports.

Tuesday afternoon, Guler got into an argument with his girlfriend, the baby's mother, and took the infant, accoridng to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. Guler told the baby's mother he was leaving the state with Henry.

Police say Guler has made previous threats to harm himself and Henry.
