Two others were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
GREENVILLE, Ky. - Nine people were killed and two were seriously injured early Thursday in a house fire in Muhlenberg County, a Greenville Fire Department dispatcher said.
Greenville Assistant Fire Chief Roger Chandler says 11 people lived at the home in Muhlenberg County, and two were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., for treatment.
The fire started at about 2 a.m. on Motes Lane in Greenville, he said.
No information was immediately available on the relationship of the victims to each other or the suspected cause of the fire. Firefighters were still at the scene shortly after 7 a.m.
The two people injured in the fire were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Greenville is about 130 miles southwest of Louisville.
