PHILADELPHIA - Police say that the male student suspected of shooting two other students at Delaware Valley Charter School in the Logan section of Philadelphia Friday has been taken into custody, according to Philadelphia. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

The suspect was reportedly arrested outside his house and is in the process of being taken in for questioning. The suspect was not armed when officers apprehended him, and the weapon involved in the shooting has not yet been recovered.

The shooting was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

CBS Philly reports that a male and a female, both believed to be age 15, were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Ramsey said both students were shot in the arm but are in stable condition.

Police say it is unclear if the student discharged the gun accidentally or intentionally. The gunman fled the school following the shooting but police were able to identify him by watching school surveillance video, Ramsey said.

Upon identifying the shooter, Ramsey said authorities pulled his records and went to his house in South Philadelphia.
