Pulaski County Sheriff's Department
Police issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the disappearance of an Arkansas woman.
Aaron M. Lewis, 33, of Jacksonville, faces a kidnapping charge as authorities continue to search for Beverly Carter, said Lt. Carl Minden of the Pulaski County sheriff's office.
'We do consider him dangerous based on the nature of the charge and based on the fact we haven't located Mrs. Carter,' Minden told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
Carter, a 49-year-old real estate agent from North Little Rock, has not been seen since she left to show a house in Scott to an unknown person about 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Her husband called police that night after she didn't contact him. He drove to the house she was showing and found her brown Cadillac parked in the driveway with her purse still inside, according to her family.
The door to the home was open.
Lewis reportedly became a 'person of interest' after he got into a car accident in Pulaski County and sustained facial injuries Sunday morning. He was taken to the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock and fled while getting a CT scan, authorities said.
He has not been seen since.
Minden did not say how police linked Carter to the woman's disappearance. They do not know whether he is armed but think it is 'logical to assume' that he might be, according to the local paper.
The suspect has an extensive rap sheet that include felony theft convictions.
Carter is a blond woman with green eyes who stands five-foot-two and weighs 145 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt and red shorts.
Anyone with information about Carter and Lewis is asked to call (501) 340-6963, (501) 340-6940 or (501) 340-8477.
