Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law can rot in prison before he burns in Hell.

A Manhattan judge sentenced Sulaiman Abu Ghaith - who stood by Bin Laden's side as he claimed credit for the Sept. 11 attacks - to life in prison Tuesday so he can 'never again' engage in murderous conduct.

'You, sir, are committed, in my assessment, to assist in doing whatever you can to carry out attacks against Americans, guilty or innocent, combatants and non-combatants, adults and babies,' Judge Lewis Kaplan told the hatemonger.

He said it was necessary to 'incapacitate' him to ensure he never does it again.

While Abu Ghaith, 48, wasn't directly involved in plotting the attacks, the feds said he 'played a critical role' for Al Qaeda in the months leading up to the attacks and afterwards by acting as its spokesman and recruiting fighters.

While Abu Ghaith's lawyer, Stanley Cohen, tried to portray him as a 'deer in headlights,' Abu Ghaith, dressed in prison blues with a white skull cap, was defiant to the end.

'I will not ask for mercy from anyone but Allah,' he said.

'Today, at the same moment you're shackling my hands and intend to bury me alive you're unleashing the hands of hundreds of Muslim youths and removing the dust from their minds, and who will join the ranks of free men,' he said.

'Soon very soon, the whole world will see the end of these theater plays known as trials.'

Before handing down his sentence, the judge noted that Abu Ghaith had never shown any remorse for his actions.

'You used your talents to recruit and inspire fighters to kill. You have not evidenced any doubt about the justification for what was done. As recently as 15 minutes ago, you continue to threaten,' the judge said.

He took special note of one piece of evidence - a video showing Bin Laden, Abu Ghaith and others sitting around and chatting about the collapse of the Twin Towers.

It showed the men 'recounting the Sept. 11 attacks with amusement and laughter. You sat at bin Laden's right side,' the judge said, as the mastermind said he'd thought the jets would be able to fell the towers.

'That is, in fact, what happened. Nearly 3,000 people died. You evidenced amusement ... It was funny. It was a success, the massacre,' Kaplan said. 'You're as far from a deer in headlights as anyone I've ever encountered.'
