Tom Brady extends NFL record with 11th division title

The Patriots beat the Ravens on Sunday to give the Pats the AFC East crown. Brady's 11th division title as a starting quarterback extended an impressive NFL record.


By helping the New England Patriots defeat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, _______, Tom Brady extended an impressive NFL record. With the win, Brady has now has 11 division titles under his belt, the most of any starting quarterback in league history.


Hot on Brady's tail is Peyton Manning, who clinched his tenth division title with a win over the Houston Texans in Week 16. Manning also broke Brady's single-season touchdown record with his 51st on Sunday.


The win Sunday was also Brady's 148th of his career, which moved him into a tie for third place with John Elway for the most all-time by a starting quarterback. Brady now sits behind Manning (165) and Brett Favre (186).


Brady went 14-26 passing for 173 yards and one touchdown against the Ravens. He has had an impressive year this season despite ever-reshuffling cast of pass catchers due to injuries. Through 15 games, Brady has thrown for 4,222 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.


At 11-4 overall, the Patriots are hoping to lock up a first-round bye and hold off the 11-4 Cincinnati Bengals who just clinched the AFC North on Sunday.
