Flames 2, Oilers 1: Sean Monahan scored the winner in overtime.


Devils 6, Islanders 1: Jaromir Jagr became the seventh player to score 700 NHL goals in New Jersey's win.


Capitals 4, Bruins 2: Alex Ovechkin collected his 800th career point, leading Washington past Boston.


Flyers 4, Rangers 2: Wayne Simmonds had a goal and an assist to pace Philadelphia.


Blue Jackets 6, Panthers 3: Columbus' special teams provided four goals in the Blue Jackets' win.


Jets 3, Predators 1: Ondrej Pavelec stopped 39 shots as Winnipeg beat Nashville.


Canadiens 4, Maple Leafs 3: Max Pacioretty scored in OT.


Sabres: Pat LaFontaine abruptly resigned as Buffalo's president of hockey operations a little more than three months after being hired by the NHL's last-place team.
