A suspected gunman was in custody after three people - including a doctor - were shot in a Pennsylvania hospital on Thursday, authorities said.
The gunfire erupted on the third floor of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, just outside of Philadelphia, about 2:15 p.m., WLS-TV reported.
Officials would not immediately confirm reports that the doctor was shot in the head.
The conditions of the victims were not immediately released.
Police told the news station that one person was in custody, but it was not clear what sparked the violence.
