A kidnapping victim has emerged 10 years after she says she was drugged and held captive by a California man who forced her to marry him and bear his child.

Santa Ana police announced the arrest of Isidro Garcia, 41, Wednesday after he allegedly abducted the then 15-year-old victim while living with her as her mother's boyfriend.

The now 25-year-old woman was allegedly recovered Tuesday after contacting her sister on Facebook and mustering the courage to call police after suffering years of threats and abuse.

According to police, after assaulting the victim's mother at her home in August of 2004 Garcia drugged the girl and drove her to a house in Compton.

'There, Garcia provided the victim with falsified identity documents and locked her overnight in a garage to prevent the victim from fleeing,' police stated in a release.

Garcia went on to repeatedly tell his victim that her mother and sisters had given up looking for her, but that if she ever tried to find them, they would be deported, according to police.

'Even with the opportunity to escape, after years of physical and mental abuse, the victim saw no way out of her situation and lived a life with Garcia under sustained physical and mental abuse,' stated police

Eventually three years after her abduction, in 2007, the victim claims Garcia forced her into marrying him and in 2012 she gave birth to his child.

Throughout the terrorizing ordeal, while frequently moving to avoid detection, police said Garcia arranged it so they would both work for a night cleaning service, 'so he could keep a close eye on the victim.'

Garcia, of Bell Gardens, was arrested Tuesday and charged with kidnapping for rape, lewd act with a minor and false imprisonment.
