A woman was taken into custody Thursday after throwing an object at Hillary Rodham Clinton as she took the stage for a Las Vegas speech.

Security at the Mandalay Bay casino and hotel ushered out the woman, who said she threw a shoe at the former secretary of State. Authorities indicated the woman would be arrested.

Clinton and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak were guest speakers at the meeting of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. Clinton, who has said she's thinking about running for president in 2016, has been making paid speeches. She's on a three-day swing of the West Coast.
