President Obama's approval rating has fallen to a new low, according to a recent poll.

Only 41% of respondents approve of the job Obama is doing as President, according to the Washington Post/ABC News poll - the lowest marks of his five-plus years in office in any such Washington Post/ABC poll.

Another 52% said they outright disapprove of Obama, while another 7% said they had no opinion.

The marks represent a noticeable decline from the President's approval ratings from even just earlier this year: 46% of respondents in an earlier version of the poll said they approved of Obama during the first three months of 2014.

Most of the dissatisfaction appeared to stem from three topics: the economy, the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the President's signature health care law.

Respondents overwhelmingly expressed discontent in all three areas - 54% of respondents said they disapproved of Obama's handling of the economy, compared to 42% who said they approved.

Forty-six percent of respondents said they disapproved of the way Obama was 'handling the situation involving Russia and Ukraine,' compared to 34% who said they approved.

And a whopping 57% said they disapproved of the way 'Obama is handling the implementation of the new health care law,' compared to 37% who said they approved.

The poll, conducted from April 24 to April 27 among 1,000 adults, is bad news for Democrats, who could be dragged down by the discouraging numbers in the November midterm elections.
