DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Weather fronts are shaping up that increase our chances for severe storms over the next 48 hours.
Pop-up storm started firing Tuesday afternoon prompting thunderstorm warnings for Greene, Warren and Clinton counties. They have since expired.
Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Tara Hastings says more storms could pop up Wednesday morning, but the biggest threat of severe weather is Wednesday afternoon and evening.
'There are already weather watches and warning to our west and that is the system moving our way,' said Hastings. 'The best time for severe storms is between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.'
We could experience very strong winds and hail during those hours. Isolated tornadoes are not out of the question.
Tara and meteorologist Jamie Jarosik are watching the situation closely. Keep an eye on the weather blog for updates.
