The U.S. economy added 217,000 jobs in May, as expected, the Labor Department reported Friday, showing the economy is continuing its steady rebound.The gains mean the economy finally recouped the 8.7 million jobs it lost at the depth of the recession.
The unemployment rate held at 6.3 percent.
