The International Space Station's cooling system has failed according to an alarming report.
The astronauts aboard the ISS are said to be conserving power while hoping that software will be able to fix the problem, NBC reports.
If the problem is not fixed spacewalk may be a possiblility.
The six member team including astronauts from Japan, Russia, and the U.S. has been described as safe.
Just minutes before the failure's report the ISS reported the crew on their Facebook page as busy preparing their 'orbital home for some future upgrades as well as training for the upcoming robotic capture of a commercial cargo craft.'
They made no immediate mention of the failure while calls to NASA were not immediately returned.
The ISS's unnerving discovery first reported around 6 p.m. EST could strike a chord in comparison to space thriller Gravity, staring Sandra Bullock.
